Unfortunately, I have another heads up about a fraudster doing the rounds on online wedding marketplaces. 

They go by the name of Melissa Williams email address melwill700@gmail.com. The initial enquiry talks about needing to buy your Wedding dress immediately and she hopes it is in good condition. This immediately sounds suspicious as who would approach buying their dream wedding dress in this manner?

We always advise going with your gut instinct and the language and detail in the following emails and correspondence is very suspicious (see below) as it talks about you making a refund via Western Union.

Thank you to our vigilant sellers for highlighting this buyer to us. As soon as we became aware we put a message out on our homepage, twitter and Facebook pages. We also contacted them directly and told them to get off our site. We have since deleted their account.

I get very frustrated by people like this and I can assure you that the majority of our users are genuine newlyweds looking for a bargain. 

We have the sign up process and email enquiry system to try to discourage scammers and it is very frustrating when they attempt to use this site fraudulently, grrrrrrrr!!

We are delighted to welcome seller EJL to Sell My Wedding. I think you guys are going to snap up the items from her gorgeous French wedding.

I have recently got back from a fabulous few days in Paris visiting my friend and make up artist supreme Victoria Farr, so I am still full of the joys of French 'va va voom' so am excited to share this particular wedding with you... 

In her profile seller EJL tells you a bit more about her big day: "My wedding was on a beautiful sunny day in the south west of France, near Montpellier. In a shabby chic villa on top of a hill with views of olive groves and mountains in the distance. A traditional French Domaine with quirky gites, a stunning outside venue and a brick room completed the scene! It was very simple, but sometimes that requires even more effort!  

"The dress! Wow- what an experience choosing a dress was! Sometimes fun, sometimes stressful, sometimes just scary. I really struggled to find what I was looking for and then The Mews of Notting Hill opened up just in time selling French designer chic! Perfect I thought - and it was. My dress was relaxed, yet a little bit rock and roll in a Kate Moss way I like to think! I have decided to sell only the skirt as I have actually worn the top again on my honeymoon which was fantastic! I think Rime Arodaky tops lend themselves to being able to bridge the gap from wedding chic to just chic!"
