We had a tipi wedding on a very (!) windy day in August 2019 in Hampshire, in my Dad's garden. We didn't have a strict theme, but went for an enchanted forest/Harry Potter/vintage type feel. All our bridesmaids wore their own choice of clothes, and had foliage-only bouquets, and were given necklaces as a present. The groomsmen wore their own choice of suit, and were given buttonholes and an embroidered tie as a present. My husband and his school band from years ago surprised everyone with a reunion after we had our first dance and I was the world's biggest groupie!!

Our tipi had wooden trestle tables, ferns, mismatched jars and bottles (used as glasses and vases), with table names printed onto tiny easels, and arranged on log slices. We had confetti sprinkled on the tables which was both dried flowers/leaves and heart cut-outs from our favourite books.

My cousin was our celebrant, as we had legally got married the week before, so we were able to have our own stamp on our ceremony which was incredible. We had readings from Flight of the Conchords and Amber Spyglass, so a real mix!

We had been warned of rain, but instead got 47mph winds on the day, which made for some very "arty" photos! It also meant our outdoor ceremony we had planned had to be moved inside at the last minute, but we still had the best time, and at least everyone could hear!

We have a few things to sell from our day, and love the idea of them being used again on someone else's wedding day. Wishing all you couples the best day! Love, Lucy x
