The term ‘(sell my wedding)’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner/sole trader of the website (registered address available on request). The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.

Disclaimer

Sell My Wedding is an online listing service that facilitates the sale and purchase only – it is not a retail store.

Sell My Wedding acts solely as a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for the quality, delivery or condition of items sold.

User responsibilities

  • Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.
  • Users of this website will not post false, misleading or defamatory content, post content or items in an appropriate category, post items that are not wedding related.
  • Private users must not list new items unless they were bought for their own wedding.
  • Sellers are responsible for ensuring all listings are accurate and follow UK laws.
  • Seller’s must provide an accurate description, genuine photos and all items must be legally owned.
  • Illegal goods, counterfeit designer items, unsafe products and prohibited materials should not be listed, and or sold on our marketplace.
  • Users of this website will not fail to deliver payment for items purchased once committed to a sale.
  • Sellers registered on this website will not fail to deliver items purchased by users of this website once a sale has been completed. Should the seller fail to deliver items, we will advise the user to raise a dispute for the payment through payment providers. We will deactivate any seller’s account who fails to deliver items once a sale has been completed and will not refund their seller’s fee.
  • Buyers should review items carefully and contact sellers for more information. Transactions should be completed responsibly.
  • Items sold on the platform are second-hand unless stated otherwise and may show signs of use.
  • Any user that lists as a private seller, that appears or is indeed a boutique/business, will be given 90 days’ notice to upgrade their account or risk being removed from the marketplace with no refund given.

Boutique/business

  • Boutique accounts are intended for businesses selling wedding-related products or services. Businesses must provide accurate company details when creating an account.
  • All user responsibilities apply to boutiques/businesses.
  • Boutiques will get their own shopfront. This will include business profile, product listings and contact via internal messaging. Sell My Wedding controls the platform layout.
  • Sell My Wedding does not act as an intermediary in transactions between buyers and boutiques.
  • Any items listed, must be wedding related.
  • Boutiques and business must confirm the comply with UK consumer laws, product safety regulations and accurate business information.
  • Introductory pricing may be offered for early boutique members for a limited time.
  • Sell My Wedding may feature boutique listings or profiles in marketing materials, social media, or promotional campaigns.
  • Subscription terms are detailed below and apply to boutiques in the same way.
  • Boutique membership provides advertising exposure on the platform but does not guarantee enquiries, traffic, or sales.
  • If any boutique/business break rules, mislead buyers or damage the reputation of this platform, Sell My Wedding reserves the right to suspend or remove boutiques accounts at its discretion.

Subscription/fee terms

  • £10 yearly fee for private sellers.
  • £250 every six months for boutiques/businesses.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. Fees are payable in advance and may renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal date.
  • Payments are processed through third-party payment providers PayPal and Stripe
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable once the subscription period has begun.
  • Existing listings created under previous pricing structures will remain subject to the terms in place at the time of purchase.
  • Fees paid to Sell My Wedding provide access to the marketplace platform and do not guarantee that items will sell.

Payment processing

  • Payments are handled externally and processed by third-party payments providers PayPal and Stripe. Sell My Wedding does not store or have access to users’ full payment details.
  • Sell My Wedding is not responsible for payment disputes between buyers and sellers. Any payment disputes must be resolved between the relevant parties or through the payment provider.
  • Users follow the payment providers terms.

Listing duration

  • Listings remain active while subscription is active
  • Expired subscriptions may mean listings are removed.
  • Existing users under previous pricing structures will continue to list their items for an unlimited amount of time.

Messaging and conduct

  • Harassment, spam or sharing harmful content is prohibited. Accounts will be suspended and/or removed from the platform.
  • Internal messages may be monitored.

Intellectual property

  • This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.
  • All trademarks reproduced in this website, which are not the property of, or licensed to the operator, are acknowledged on the website.
  • The photographs used to display items should be your own photographs or you should have full permission to use them, including for the purposes of the promotion of your items through means other than this website. We use our website user’s item photographs on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels for promotional purposes (promoting our site and its services and user’s items, giving them additional exposure and opportunity to sell).
  • By registering as a seller and listing your items, you are giving Sell My Wedding the authority to share these images on our social media channels.
  • Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

Limitation of liability

  • Sell My Wedding is not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions between users.
  • This website includes links to sponsor websites. We have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).

Sell My Wedding reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
