We had an early September summer wedding in a beautiful rustic farm setting where I grew up on the Isle of Wight.

I was determined not to spend a fortune on décor and wanted to avoid single-use items, so I recycled and used 'Sell My Wedding' a huge amount in the planning and lead up, using pre-loved items as much as possible. 

I'm also a keen crafter, so created and handmade a lot of decorations too to keep costs low. I found ribbons as incredible way of doing this, low cost but high-impact and easy to fill large spaces! 

To carry on this ethos, I am wanting to pass on as much of our wedding as I can to help others avoid waste and to keep costs low as possible. Weddings already cost enough! 

I am using photos from my actual wedding day as far as possible to hopefully provide some inspiration and show items in use and in all their glory on the big day! I found it really useful to peruse these websites for creative ideas on how to use items in unusual or new ways. 

Our colour scheme was fairly neutal, white and sage green with pops of burnt orange which worked really well and allowed for a classy, calm ceremony look but allowed us to inject some more colour for the reception and party afterwards! 

I am also selling some items that I brought and didn't end up using! Always better to have too much than not enough.
